Abstract:

Exploring the other’s opposing facts, ideas, feelings and opinions requires genuine curiosity and a respectful approach that makes all those involved in a Crucial Conversation feel safe.

Part 3 of the series includes the skills that create the engagement and the openness necessary to have a candid disclosure of important and relevant information. Part 3 also covers the last component of the model after a healthy dialogue has taken place. Move to action is the path to achieve the results agreed to be the outcome of the conversation. A conversation planner using the model will be provided, and discussed, as the entire VitalSmarts® Crucial Conversations model is summarized with an action plan.
