Abstract:

As we engage in a Crucial Conversation, it is very important to share any strong opinions without shutting down contrary views. You should be able to state your mind while making it safe for others to do the same.

Part 2 of the series covers the components of the VitalSmarts® Crucial Conversations model that create a safe environment and encourages the sharing of facts, ideas, feelings and opinions from both (all) people in the conversation. Creating a safe environment prevents that people withdraw from the conversation before reaching an agreement or resolution.
