Dr. Michele Manuel has been awarded the NASA Early Career Grant that funds research in strategic and priority areas as identified by NASA’s Space Technology Roadmap and the National Research Council. Concepts funded include those that are considered “unique, disruptive or transformational space technologies.” Dr. Manuel was one of 10 faculty selected for this competitive award. Her research will focus on developing lightweight, high strength alloys with increased damage resistance and repair capabilities.
