- The student must have a graduate supervisory committee set up which includes a Materials Science and Engineering professor who is designated as the minor representative for MSE. This professor may also serve as the external member for the committee.
- The student has to complete a minimum of 6 hours of course work in the MSE department to receive the minor in MSE.
