Biography

Rob Szollosy brings more than two decades of leadership experience in the nuclear energy sector, with deep expertise in fuel cycle management, risk assessment, operational reliability, and organizational performance. He currently serves as Nuclear Fuel Supply Manager for Southern Nuclear, where he oversees the global fuel supply portfolio for eight nuclear units, ensuring long term reliability, commercial competitiveness, and strategic alignment with the company’s operational priorities.

Over his 26 year tenure with Southern Nuclear, Rob has held key technical and managerial positions, including outage manager, lead outage scheduler, senior engineer, and nuclear fuel engineer. His roles have spanned core design, reactor engineering, safety analysis, outage execution, and large-scale fleet planning. Rob is recognized for leading complex recovery efforts and for implementing engineering-driven solutions that strengthen both performance and team capability across high stakes operational environments.

Rob also serves as Chair of the Board of Governors for the World Nuclear Fuel Market (WNFM), supporting strategic planning and fostering industry collaboration across the global nuclear fuel community.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Florida, where he was active in student government, engineering leadership programs, honor societies, and athletics.
