Professor Rolf Hummel, Thierry Dubroca (PostDoc) and student Max Lemaitre are moving along with developing a new method to detect explosives for airport security, right here in the MSE department. On Thursday August 18th, Dr Dubroca won the Fast Pitch competition organized by the Gainesville Area Innovation Network for his presentation on his group ‘s recent exciting research and commercialization progress! The in-kind prize, donated by GTEC (www.gtecflorida.com) is valued over $3000.
