The University of Florida honors faculty who bring distinction to the university through their outstanding commitment to teaching, scholarship, service, research and creative activity.

Each year, the Provost’s Office presents the Excellence Awards for Assistant Professors, which are focused on junior faculty and recognize excellence in research. Each award comes with a one-time allocation of $5,000 to support the awardees’ research. The Provost’s office selected Dr. Josephine Allen for this prestigious award this year.
