Why Should You Attend the MSE-NE Career Fair?
Our career fair provides an opportunity found nowhere else! It is the only career fair at the University of Florida that pairs students with materials science or nuclear engineering experience with you – the companies who are looking to recruit those specific candidates.
Connect with exceptional talent from UF’s top-ranked Materials Science & Engineering and Nuclear Engineering programs. With nearly 300 undergraduate and over 200 graduate students, our department cultivates well-rounded engineers trained in advanced materials, nuclear systems, radiation detection, and sustainable energy solutions. UF students distinguish themselves through hands-on research, reactor operations experience, and technical proficiency in tools like MATLAB, COMSOL, and MCNP. Many are active in professional societies and student leadership, preparing them for impactful careers in industry, government, and national laboratories.
This career fair offers employers a unique opportunity to engage with students who bring real-world experience and practical skills, including work with the UF Training Reactor, state-of-the-art lab facilities, and faculty-led research across critical areas of materials, energy and nuclear technology.
The MSE-NE Career Fair will be hosted by the UF Career Connections Center on Oct. 1, 2025, in conjunction with the UF Career Showcase. A dedicated space in this large, campus-wide recruiting event will allow you and our students to engage in focused communication.
