Jennifer Andrew, Ph.D., has been promoted to full professor, and Assel Aitkaliyeva, Ph.D., has been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure.
Dr. Andrew received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her B.S. from Northwestern University, both in Materials Science and Engineering. She joined the University of Florida in 2011 following a postdoctoral position at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Andrew is the recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award, Pramod P. Khargonekar Junior Faculty Award for Excellence, and is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Society.
Dr. Aitkaliyeva received her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and M.S. in Nuclear Engineering at Texas A&M University. She joined the University of Florida in 2017 following postdoctoral and staff scientist positions at Idaho National Laboratory. She is the recipient of the Department of Energy Early Career and Pramod P. Khargonekar Junior Faculty Award for Excellence.
