Nuclear Engineering

Applications Invited for Faculty Positions

The Nuclear Engineering Program at the University of Florida invites applications for the following positions:
High performance polymer solar cells paper published in Nature Photonics

Professor Franky So and his research group along with Professor John Reynolds’ group in the Chemistry Department recently demonstrated “inverted polymer solar cells” with power conversion efficiency exceeding 8%. Typical polymer solar cells require a low work function metal for the top cathode and this device architecture is not compatible with roll-to-roll processing. The so-called inverted cells have a bottom ZnO layer made by sol-gel process which replaces the low work function cathode.
