UF Engineers develop sensors that create their own energy, saving weight and extending the battery life of electric vehicles.
Andrew, an associate professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, and her team received a $1.4 million grant from the National Science Foundation to study scalable and high-performance magnetic materials that can be implemented into modern-day devices that would take up less space.
