Biography

Deepika Singh is the Founder and former CEO of Sinmat- a company specializing in novel planarization processes for the semiconductor chip industry.  These processes are currently being used by leading global companies in some of the fastest-growing markets involving the manufacturing of smartwatches, smartphones advanced silicon carbide and gallium nitride electronics for electric vehicles, 5G communications infrastructure and advanced defense electronics. She founded Sinmat in 2002 and managed the company through a very successful exit that has returned over $100 million to its shareholders. Sinmat was acquired in January 2020,  by Entegris Inc., a leading global supplier of chemicals and advanced materials to the chip industry.

Currently, as the CEO of R&D Investment Holdings, she is exploring investment opportunities in emerging materials technology companies and strategies to improve the educational outcomes of underrepresented minorities. During her tenure at Sinmat, Dr. Deepika Singh was invited and recognized by President Obama at a White House clean energy event for developing new ways to improve microchip manufacturing. She is a recipient of numerous awards including over 30 patents, four R&D100 awards which are also known as the “Oscars of invention” given once a year for developing the top 100 technology products and the Manufacturing Business of the Year Award.
