Dr. Cammy Abernathy, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering and Dean of the University of Florida’s College of Engineering, has been recognized as a 2015 Fellow of the Materials Research Society (MRS) for contributions to the development of compound semiconductor materials growth using the chemical beam epitaxy method.
Dr. Abernathy joins a number of UF faculty as MRS Fellows: Bill Appleton, Steve Pearton, Susan Sinnott, Kevin Jones, Fan Ren and Rajiv Singh. The MRS Fellowships have only been awarded since 2008 and UF has one of the largest number of awardees.
