Mark Bewernitz, graduate student in Dr. Gower’s group, won the Skinner Poster Award at the Faraday Discussion No.159: Crystallization- A Biological Perspective (July 23-25th, 2012). The title of his poster was “A metastable liquid precursor phase of calcium carbonate and its interactions with polyaspartate”. He was cited as being a strong contributor to the discussions, as well as for providing an impactful paper and poster.
