| MSE team placed 3rd in Idea to Product competition |

MSE PhD Student Max Lemaitre along with MSE PostDoc Thierry Dubroca and MBA Student John Atkinson have won 3rd place at the Idea to Product technology conference which was held in Austin, TX on November 5th and 6th 2010. The team, part of Prof. Hummel’s group gave several presentations on the commercialization path for the detection of explosives by differential reflectometry applied to airport security which allowed them to reach the final stage. The MSE team was the only US based team to reach the final stage of this competition. They were awarded a $2500 cash prize. More details can be found at:
