Requirements for Minor

1. The student must have a graduate supervisory committee set up which includes a Materials Science and Engineering professor who is designated as the minor representative for MSE. This professor may also serve as the external member for the committee.
2. The student has to complete 12–24 hours of course work in the MSE department to receive the minor in MSE. Applicable courses can be found at our grad courses page. The courses and the number of credits required above 12 credits will be up to the student.s supervisory committee recommendation(s).
